About alex asher sears

writer. photographer. chatterbox.
Born in the shade of the Hollywood sign, Alex Asher Sears was raised within a family of artists and filmmakers.
As a screenwriter, journalist, and editor, she writes online and in print, about film, family, fashion, Frenchies,
fotos, food allergies - and those are just the f-words.
Her first writing job began via dial-up in 1999, creating content for AOL’s Digital City. A decade later she was
Managing Editor of CinemaEditor magazine, where she’d written since 2005.
Leaving the magazine to pursue new writing opportunities on and offline, she began blogging at Alexandra Wrote,
home of If Emily Posted, a style guide for social media netiquette.
As a photographer, she prefers working with natural light, capturing unexpected moments rather than posed ones.
Official photographer of BlogHer ’11, her photos can be found in publications by Simon & Schuster, Hot Moms Club,
Babble, BlogHer, The SAE Record and People magazine.
She believes you can find inspiration anywhere, but thinks Slim Aarons, Noël Coward & Diana Vreeland are a great place to start.
A regular contributor at Beauty Banter and BlogHer , Alex writes, the old-fashioned way, at TYPE A Calligraphy.
While you can find her on twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, and Google+, she still prefers the telephone.
